Chandler dances on FREEDOM
I’m watching Miss Pettigrew Lives For a Day, one of my favorite movies. I cannot overstate how beautiful this film is. The clothes, the music, the styling, but mostly, the set design. These pictures are of Delysia Lafosse’s 1930’s London apartment. Perfect!
And if you love this movie as much as I do, read the (wonderful, fun, delightful) novel from which it was adapted!
I Loves You, Porgy (Ella Fitzgerald): Another song I was asked to sing recently at a gig, and couldn’t produce on the spot (I didn’t have the lyrics, or sheet music!), but am now adding to my repertoire.
Martha Wainwright sings La Vie En Rose. I’ve been adding songs to my songbook, and this one is near the top of my “Wanted” list… now if only I can sing it in French! Any other suggestions for songs I should be adding? (you can see my list of current songs at www.elizabethdawsonsings.com)
